Overview

The Department of Radiology at Kochi Medical School was established in 1980. In 2021, the Department of Radiology was divided into 2 departments according to their specific fields. The field of the Department of Radiation Oncology includes radiation oncology, physics and biology.

Research areas

The purpose of our department is to conduct clinical research on radiation oncology, including high-precision radiation therapy, to investigate the efficacy and safety of radiation therapy for patients with various cancer, and to establish the evidence in this field.
