Department of Urology

Our department conducts basic research, mainly focusing on genitourinary cancer, urinary function and blood purification. Our main theme being as described below, we have research meetings twice a year. We report the results at domestic or international scientific meetings, and also publish our findings in academic journals.

We have three research groups as follows;

Cancer Biology Group

Our goal is to determine the mechanisms of invasion and metastasis and to develop novel therapeutic strategy in genitourinary cancer.

Urinary Function Group

We elucidate of the mechanism of lower urinary tract dysfunction and develop novel therapeutic strategy focusing on the central nerve system.

Blood Purification Group

We develop novel vascular access for hemodialysis and method of visualized vessels.
