2015年4月20日–24日にドイツ人の魚類学者 Werner Schwarzhans博士が標本調査と採集のため，研究室に滞在しました． Schwarzhans博士はおもに化石種と現生種の耳石を研究していますが，ちょうどソコダラ科スジダラ属，オニスジダラ属とヤリダラ属に関する下記のモノグラフをZootaxaから出版し，土佐湾のスジダラ属の未記載種（オグロスジダラ Hymenocephalus yamasakiorum Nakayama, Endo and Schwarzhans, 2015として記載）について共同研究を行いました．
