Orientation for New International Students Held

On Wednesday, September 30, the orientation for the newly arriving international students was held at Asakura Campus.

 

After the orientation, Director Kikuchi of the Center for International Collaboration gave the following opening address: “I would like everyone to learn a lot, maintain active exchanges with the students at Kochi University and local people and have a fulfilling and enjoyable student life,” the faculty members were introduced, and a brief explanation about the regional events was given. Then, cautions related to foreign student life and a wider range of information was provided to ensure safe and comfortable student life.

 

In the safety and security class, the students received explanations about road signs and traffic rules of bicycles, and tips on how to prepare for the Nankai Trough Earthquake were provided by police officers from Kochi Minami Police Station.

 

On October 7, as the second part of the orientation, various events regarding the international exchange and students’ circles and club activities were introduced to the international students.
