Syllabus for Comprehensive Japanese Course, First Semester 2019
I. Outline
This course is open to any international student registered at Oko campus of Kochi University. Students may have “Elementary Japanese / Japanese Culture and Society” and “Intermediate Japanese” once a week from the second week of April 2019 to July 2019.
Ⅱ. Course Levels
“Elementary Japanese / Japanese Culture and Society” is for beginner students and those in this course will learn basic knowlesges for studying Japanese and essential communication skills in a daily life.
“Intermediate Japanese” is for students have completed “Elementary Japanese”. This course helps students with moving their Japanese skills from upper-elementary level to lower-intermediate level. The goal is to pass the level N3 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.

The goal is to understand the main points of familiar topics such as work, school, and entertainment event, and to express in various ways about one's feelings, situations and experiences. Topics in this class should be visits, marriages, troubles during a trip, and so on.
