Our motto is “Respect the Region, Love the People!” CRIC aims to contribute to the promotion of education and research at Kochi University as well as to the sustainable development of the region. Through close partnership with the regional community by utilizing the University’s human and intellectual resources as well as its facilities, we aim to foster individuals, create regional innovations, and develop science and technology in the local community. In addition, we aim to help to promote　education and research through inter-faculties and/or student exchanges especially with people of the Asia-Pacific region. We also provide ample support to international students at Kochi University as well as Japanese students who consider studying abroad. Thus, we aim at contributing to the advancement of the global community through our local community’s harmonious relationships with other nations.

Regional　Alliances Section

• By making use of the human and intellectual resources of Kochi University, we aim to promote partnership with the community; to make contributions to task-solving that meets the needs of various fields today; to train individuals to acquire up-to-date knowledge and skills; to work hard to popularize lifelong learning, and thus contribute to promoting sustainable development of the region.

Joint Research & Development Section (JRDS)

• This section promotes joint research / delegated research with corporations and research institutes. It makes contributions to creating regional innovations by developing technology and vitalizing industries through the achievements of the University’s education and research institutions.

Intellectual Property Section（IPS）

• It is the aim of IPS that we would protect, administrate and grant the intellectual property created and acquired by the university on our own responsibility, and which would definitely serve us to extend as much our contribution to profit as possible to the regional society as well as the university, the staff and the students

International Collaboration Section　(ICS)

• The aim of ICS should be not only to promote internationally the collaboration on education and research and the college interchange, but also to contribute to the internationalization in the regional community.
