Release Date:
On Saturday, October 12, 2024, Director Takatoshi Endo (in charge of General Affairs, Planning, and Crisis Management) attended the 10th-anniversary commemorative event for the Vietnam-Japan University at Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
Nichigaku University is a comprehensive university established in 2014 as a symbol of friendship between the Japanese and Vietnamese governments. It is operated with the support of many Japanese universities and is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.
On Friday, May 10, 2024, our university signed an international exchange agreement with that university with a view to collaborating on Faculty (Smart Agriculture and Sustainability, and Food Engineering and Health), and we were invited as one of the partner universities.
The 10th-anniversary commemorative events were organized as an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of Japan-Vietnam University and to consider the direction of the institution for the next decade.
On the day of the event, a commemorative ceremony and the 2024–2025 academic year entrance ceremony were held at the Vietnam National Innovation Center, while academic seminars and cultural exchange events took place at the Hoa Lac Campus of the Japan-Vietnam University.
Director Endo spoke during the third session of the academic seminar, titled “The Model of a Liberation Research University and Some Examples,” where he introduced the university’s pioneering efforts in the Internet of Plants (IoP) and expressed his hopes for future collaboration in the agricultural sector, regional partnerships, and liberal arts education.
It was a valuable opportunity that is expected to further promote exchange between the two universities.
