University Overview
As a comprehensive university with six faculties and one graduate school, approximately 5,500 students study across three campuses.
Leveraging the unique strengths of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and Marine Sciences, Faculty of Regional Collaboration, and the Graduate School of Integrated Human and Natural Sciences, we promote practical education and research as a hub for regional revitalization.

Kochi University conducts national university corporation evaluations and accreditation assessments to continuously improve the quality of its educational and research activities. Through self-assessment and internal quality assurance initiatives, the university establishes a PDCA cycle across the entire institution, striving to ensure and enhance the quality of education. Kochi University's Initiatives
We are undertaking various initiatives to fulfill our social responsibilities, including educational and research activities aimed at achieving the SDGs, crisis management and disaster prevention measures, and the promotion of gender equality. We are also focusing on creating a safe and comfortable campus environment through measures such as harassment prevention and energy conservation. Public Relations
We actively promote the appeal of our educational research activities and student life to society at large. Beyond providing information through our public relations magazine, website, and media partnerships, we collaborate with student public relations staff to share the university's appeal from a student perspective.
