Following Japan's high aging rate, Taiwan's population is rapidly aging and declining, and there are concerns about the decline in regional vitality. In 2021, 10 universities in Japan and Taiwan, including Kochi University, established the "TJ Alliance (Taiwan-Japan collaboration)" to share human resource development initiatives for "Regional Revitalization".
In addition, Kochi University has provided scholarships for doctoral students for their degree research since FY2021 to promote academic "Regional Revitalization" and to help them settle in the region after completing their research. In this seminar, we will introduce these examples and discuss future developments.

高齢化率の高い日本に続き、台湾でも高齢化と人口減少が急速に進んでおり、地方の活力低下が懸念されています。2021年、高知大学を含む日本と台湾の10大学が「TJアライアンス（日台連携）」を設立し、"地域活性化 "に向けた人材育成の取り組みの共有を開始しました。また、高知大学では、2021年度より博士課程学生の学位研究に対する奨学金を支給し、学術的に " 地域活性化 " を推進するとともに、研究修了後の地域定着を支援しています。本セミナーでは、これらの事例を紹介し、今後の展開について議論します（リンク）。
