As part of the Kochi University common education lecture "Environmental Studies of the Tosa Sea: Thinking from the Sea of Kashiwa Island" an online roundtable discussion (mini-symposium) via Zoom was open to the public.

　In this roundtable discussion, Ms. Yukino Kaneshiro, who runs the Manatee Project in Okinawa, will talk about her efforts to collect marine debris by renting garbage bags to tourists for a fee.

　本学の共通教育科目「土佐の海の環境学：柏島の海から考える」の一環として、Zoomによるオンライン座談会（ミニシンポ）を一般公開いたします（LINK）。

　この座談会では、沖縄でマナティプロジェクトを主宰する金城由希乃さんをお招きし、観光客に有料でごみを入れるバッグを貸し出し、海洋ごみを集めてもらう取り組みについてお話しいただきます。

　また、金城さん、高知県柏島で長年海洋教育や環境保全活動を行っている黒潮実感センターの神田優センター長及び総合科学系地域協働教育学部門の石筒覚准教授の３名でパネルディスカッションも行い、海ごみの問題と海洋環境の保全について考えます。
