Kuroshio Science Program (doctoral course), Kochi University's "Leader Nurturing Program to Contribute to the Glocal Growth Strategy in Kuroshio Region" has been selected for the "Special Scholarship Program by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology for fiscal 2022.

This program is designed for students from Kuroshio regional countries, and aims to nurture leaders with advanced expertise who will lead the construction of sustainable local communities in harmony with human society and the environment, and who will contribute to the glocal growth strategy.

As a result of being selected this time, we will accept three Filipino students (doctoral course) every year for three years from October 2023, and conduct educational programs for them as leaders of "Global Human Coexistence" while advancing their degree research.

The Kuroshio Science Program has already produced 18 Filipino graduates, many of whom are active in their home universities and national institutions. The network of graduate students currently enrolled and those who will complete their degree studies in this program is expected to enhance international collaboration in education and research further.

　高知大学黒潮圏総合科学専攻の「黒潮圏」のグローカル成長戦略に寄与する「環人共生」リーダー育成プログラムが、2022年度文部科学省「国費外国人留学生の優先配置を行う特別プログラム」に採択されました。

　本プログラムは、「黒潮圏」諸国の学生を対象として、高度専門知識を有し、人間社会と環境の調和がとれた持続的な地域社会の構築をリードする、グローカル成長戦略に寄与する「環人共生」リーダーの育成を目的としています。

　今回採択されたことにより、2023年10月から3か年にわたり、毎年3名のフィリピン人留学生（博士課程）を受け入れ、学位研究を進めるとともに「環人共生」リーダーとしての教育プログラムを行います。

　黒潮圏総合科学専攻では、すでに18名のフィリピン人修了生を輩出しており、その多くが母国の大学や国の機関で活躍しています。現在在籍している大学院生やこのプログラムで学位研究を遂行し修了していく大学院生のネットワークにより、教育・研究における国際連携のさらなる充実が図られることが期待されます（リンク）。
