Judo Club

We practice mainly at the Kochi Prefectural Budokan twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays), but you can also practice at the Kochi University Budokan!
We’re a club where everyone—including beginners and those with no experience—has fun and trains freely, so anyone is welcome!
You might feel a little hesitant about starting judo now that you’re in college.
You might also have preconceived notions, like “Judo looks painful” or “Only big people win.”
However, during practice, we focus on injury prevention by teaching proper falling techniques and maintaining the facilities.
First and foremost, we want you to discover the fun of judo. So, even if you just come for a trial session, we’ll do our very best to make it a great experience!
Whether you’re interested in joining as a dual-member or simply aiming to earn a black belt—or even if you just want to get some exercise—please feel free to come by!
With the motto “Mind, Technique, and Body; Effort and Good Use; Mutual Prosperity,” why don’t we work together to energize the judo scene in Kochi Prefecture?
We look forward to your support of the Kochi University Judo Club.
