Kendo Club

The university’s kendo club aims to help students lead fulfilling college lives while mastering proper kendo techniques and etiquette that they can continue to practice even after entering the workforce. Under the guidance of Coach Yano, who has served as a coach for national teams overseas, we train diligently every day with the goal of qualifying for national tournaments and achieving top rankings.
While club activities may seem more formal than student groups, that’s not actually the case. We’re currently blessed with many members who train seriously but also enjoy a friendly and fun atmosphere after practice. We also hold various events, such as practicing kendo with local elementary and middle school students, as well as cherry blossom viewing in the spring and barbecues in the summer.
Anyone interested in kendo is welcome, including beginners. Please feel free to come visit our university’s kendo club.
