Kuroshio Festival Organizing Committee

Kochi University’s annual festival, the “Kuroshio Festival,” is held every fall and attracts large crowds of all ages. On the day of the festival, numerous food and merchandise stalls line the main street, and comedy shows and Yosakoi dance performances take place in front of the North Gymnasium and Media Forest.
The Kuroshio Festival Executive Committee is responsible for planning the events and program to ensure that as many people as possible can enjoy the festival, and for working as staff on the day of the event to help make it a success. With the goal of “giving everyone involved in the Kuroshio Festival wonderful dreams and memories, helping them reevaluate their own paths, and enabling them to discover something new,” the committee works to bring the festival to life by collaborating not only with Kochi University students but also with members of the local community.
