Extracurricular Activity Facilities
1) Sports facilities
The school currently has the following sports facilities; however, since some of these are used for regular physical education classes, they are primarily available for extracurricular activities on weekends and after school.

2) Training Camp Facilities
The Residential Training Facility is located on the Asakura Campus and occupies part of the second floor of the Extracurricular Activities Building. This facility is intended for use as a venue for events organized by the university or for training sessions conducted by student groups approved by the university. To use the facility, please complete the “Application for Use” form with the required information and submit it to the Student Support Office in advance to obtain approval. When using the facility, please strictly adhere to all regulations set forth in the Residential Training Facility Usage Rules.
3) Items Loaned for Extracurricular Activities
We can lend out the following items for use in extracurricular activities. If you wish to borrow any of these items, please contact the person in charge.
○ Student Support Office
Handheld microphones, walkie-talkies, sound amplification systems, event tents, tables, folding chairs, blackout curtains, extension cords, stopwatches, video cameras, handcarts, etc.
○ Health Management Center Medical Office
First aid kit, AED (automated external defibrillator)
○ Student Affairs Office
Tents, camping gear sets, tennis rackets, sleeping bags, coolers, golf sets, extension cords
○ Monobe General Affairs Division, Academic Affairs Office
Softball equipment, hard and soft tennis equipment, badminton equipment, table tennis equipment, volleyballs, soccer balls, hiking and camping gear, barbecue sets, coolers, student club rooms
4) Regarding Club Activity Liability Insurance
(A) Overview of the Insurance Program
This program compensates for losses incurred when legal liability for damages arises due to errors made by coaches (including advisors, head coaches, team managers, and captains, as well as alumni and external individuals serving in coaching roles) in the course of managing or instructing team members, resulting in injury or death to such members.
(b) Scope of Coverage
・Compensation for damages
・Litigation costs (court fees, attorneys’ fees, and costs related to arbitration, settlement, and mediation)
・Costs for preserving rights of subrogation
・Costs for preventing or mitigating damage
・Costs for cooperating with the insurance company, etc.
(c) Exclusions from Coverage
・Accidents caused by the intentional acts of the policyholder or the insured
・Accidents caused by riots or natural disasters
・Accidents arising from the ownership, use, or management of automobiles or aircraft, etc.
(d) Liability Limits
・Bodily injury liability: 100 million yen per person, 300 million yen per accident
(e) Insurance Premiums and Application
The insurance term is one year. To complete the application process, you must submit the application form designated by the insurance company (which requires the club representative’s seal and a roster of all members, including instructors). Please complete the necessary procedures at the Extracurricular Activities Section of the Student Support Office; for the School of Medicine, please complete them at the Student Affairs Office.

Facility Overview
Accommodation buildings: 374 people (4 two-story reinforced concrete buildings, 6 lodges)
Training rooms (1 room each for 99, 42, and 36 people, etc.), dining hall, bathhouse, campground, sports field (approx. 50 m × 70 m), gymnasium (1,355 m²), etc.
Eligible individuals
Anyone in a group of two or more can use it.
How to Apply
We begin accepting inquiries six months prior to the intended date of use. Applications must be submitted at least two weeks in advance.
Expenses
Meals: Preschoolers (Breakfast: 320 yen, Lunch: 470 yen, Dinner: 540 yen)
Elementary school students (Breakfast: 400 yen, Lunch: 550 yen, Dinner: 640 yen)
Middle school students and older (Breakfast: 410 yen, Lunch: 560 yen, Dinner: 660 yen)
Sheet laundry fee: 200 yen for lodging building guests, 50 yen for tent guests
Facility usage fee
Use by youth is free, but for general use, the fee is 250 yen per person per night (please inquire for details).
Note: Material fees may apply depending on the activity.

How to Apply
Make a reservation with the Student Activities Support Group of the Office of Education at Hiroshima University between two months and 15 days in advance.
Expenses
Meals: Breakfast 430 yen, Lunch 580 yen, Dinner 730 yen
Miscellaneous expenses: 250 yen per night; 50 yen added for each additional night
Heating and cooling fees: 150 yen per person per night (Cooling season: July–September; Heating season: November–March)
