Advisor Faculty System and Office Hours

Every student is assigned an academic advisor from the time of enrollment through graduation. These advisors are core faculty members of the student’s respective school (faculty members who bear responsibility for the school’s operations as defined by university regulations), and they serve as mentors, providing advice and guidance on all aspects of university life, including academic planning, further education, career paths, daily life, and health.

Faculty advisors are introduced during the general education course “Introduction to University Studies” (offered in the first semester of the first year) (excluding the School of Medicine). While the timing and procedures for changing faculty advisors vary by faculty and department, it is common practice for the faculty member supervising the student’s thesis to ultimately serve as the advisor.
Please note that faculty advisors for the School of Medicine will be announced on the bulletin boards for each grade level (around early April).

Office hours are designated time slots outside of class when faculty members are available to answer students’ questions and provide guidance. You can feel free to visit your academic advisor for matters related to university life, or your course instructor for questions regarding your classes.
