Japan-Korea International Symposium: "What Are the Learning Experiences of Japanese and Korean Children in Practical Subjects?"
Date:
The Japan-Korea International Symposium, titled “What Are the Learning Experiences of Japanese and Korean Children in Practical Subjects?”, will be held at the Asakura Campus on Friday, February 3, 2012, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Through a comparative study of practical subject education (music, home economics, art, and physical education) in Japan and South Korea, we will examine these subjects from the perspective of children’s learning experiences. Seven researchers from both countries will passionately discuss the findings of a decade of joint research, and we hope to apply the insights gained—regarding education and the nature of childhood—to the future of education in both nations.
Participation is open to all (limited to the first 130 participants). If you have an interest in Korea, education, practical subjects, or classroom instruction, we encourage you to join us.
We look forward to seeing you there.
