Announcement of the "EcoChil Study International Symposium"

Date:

EcoChil Study International Symposium

The "National Survey on Children's Health and the Environment (ECOCHIL Study)" is Japan's first large-scale birth cohort study, involving 100,000 families nationwide. Kochi University serves as one of 15 unit centers across the country and is the only such center in the Shikoku region.

A pilot study of a similar nature is currently underway in the United States. We have invited researchers from the University of Utah to join us, as well as Dr. Fujiō Kayama from Jichi Medical University, who is continuing the EcoChil Study pilot project. Together, they will provide an overview and discuss the current status, future prospects, challenges, and international collaboration of these two birth cohort studies in Japan and the United States.

The symposium will be conducted in English, but if you have any specific questions regarding the content or other matters, our staff will be happy to assist you. We look forward to seeing you there.
