Report on Support Activities for Areas Affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake
From March 11, Medical School continuously dispatched medical support teams (consisting of 3 to 5 members, including physicians and allied health professionals), totaling more than 240 personnel, as the university worked together as one to provide support; however, these support activities were temporarily concluded as of April 29.
Through this relief effort, we will hold a briefing session focused on the report from the relief activities and future disaster preparedness and medical response measures, including the strengthening of fundamental countermeasures and necessary preparations for the Nankai Earthquake, which is expected to occur within the next 30 years.
