Opening Ceremony for the FY2010 "Course on Management and Cultivation of Marine Fisheries Resources"

 On Tuesday, July 20, 2010, the opening ceremony will be held for the group training program “Course on Management and Cultivation of Marine Fisheries Resources,” which is being conducted by Kochi University in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

 The 2010 cohort will consist of six participants from Indonesia, Namibia, Peru, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Tunisia, and Turkey.

 Over the past 23 years, this training program has provided knowledge and technical expertise in fisheries science; a total of 178 participants have completed the program, and upon returning to their home countries, they have gone on to play active roles in various fields, including government agencies.
