Symposium Marking the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Kochi-Kainan Historical Society: “War Relics and Local Communities”

Date:

The Kochi Kainan Historical Society, established in 1963 primarily by the university’s alumni, students, and faculty, will hold a symposium to commemorate its 50th anniversary.

Based on a keynote lecture by Shunbu Tori (Yamanashi Gakuin University), a leading authority on the study of war heritage sites in Japan, and individual presentations by three researchers, we will engage in a wide-ranging discussion—both in terms of time and space—on the achievements and challenges of war heritage research, with a focus on its relationship with local communities.

For more details, please see the program.
We look forward to seeing many of you there.
