DC Seminar / Kuroshio Region Seminar: "Keynote Presentation at the 2013 Annual Conference of the Japanese Society of Island Studies in Kochi and Kashiwajima"

 We will be hosting the "Keynote Presentation at the 2013 Annual Conference of the Japanese Society for Island Studies in Kochi and Kashiwajima," designated as a DC Seminar and Kuroshio Region Seminar.

 Kuroshio Science ProgramGraduate School will present on the topic “Islands and the Commons: Communities Protecting Coastal Natural Resources,” while Yū Kanda, Director of the NPO Kuroshio Experience Center, will speak on “Creating Satoumi: Based on 15 Years of Experience at the Kuroshio Experience Center.” Both will discuss the environment and resources of islands, with a focus on Kashiwajima.

 There is no fee to attend, and no advance registration is required.
