Symposium on the Center of Community (COC) Initiative: "Prospects for Collaborative Innovation Between the Region and Kochi University: The 'Strength' of Kochi University in Supporting the Region"
Date:
Kochi University has launched the “Kochi University Inside Community System (KICS) Initiative” (selected for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s FY2013 “Regional (Knowledge) Hub Development Project”) with the support of Kochi Prefecture.
The KICS Initiative aims to fulfill the university’s role as a member of the local community—not only in research but also in education—through collaboration with those dedicated to solving the various challenges facing Kochi Prefecture.
To mark the first year of the KICS Initiative, we are holding a symposium as our first effort to foster even greater collaboration between the local community and Kochi University. During the event, Kochi University will present its fundamental philosophy and specific initiatives to gain a broader understanding from the residents of Kochi Prefecture and solicit feedback from participants.
We will also propose the establishment of a "Regional Collaboration Network Conference" and call for participation.
