Public Symposium: "Industrial Development and Connections with the Community and People in a Warming Kochi Prefecture"

Date:

The RECCA Public Symposium and the 38th Kochi University Academia Seminar, titled “Industrial Development and Community and Human Connections in a Warming Kochi Prefecture: From a Prefecture Facing Challenges to a Prefecture Leading in Solutions,” will be held on the following dates.

Under the "Kochi Prefecture Industrial Promotion Plan," Kochi Prefecture aims not only to halt depopulation and mitigate disasters to ensure its survival, but also to accurately anticipate the direction of change in its rich natural environment and climate to foster industrial and regional development, thereby becoming a national model as a "leading prefecture in problem-solving."As part of the RECCA (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Climate Change Adaptation Research Promotion Program) Kochi Prefecture Project, we will hold a public symposium in collaboration with Kochi University. Building on the research findings accumulated to date, we will work together with the local community and residents to determine the direction of research and establish a framework for collaboration among industry, academia, government, and the community, with the aim of applying these insights to prefectural policies such as the Industrial Promotion Plan.
