2014 University Reform Symposium: "Paving the Way to the Future Through Regional Collaboration"

Kochi University plans to launch Faculty, Faculty of Regional Collaboration,” in April 2015—the first new faculty established in 38 years. Faculty leaders who can solve regional challenges under the banner of “regional collaboration.” Why is this first-of-its-kind initiative necessary? At this symposium, we will gather perspectives from various sectors—including local communities, businesses, and education—to collectively explore the future of university education and regional development.
We look forward to welcoming a wide range of participants, including those engaged in community development, NPOs tackling social issues, companies seeking self-motivated individuals who can think and act independently, educators implementing innovative teaching methods, and middle and high school students eager to make a difference in their communities.
