Office for the Promotion of Gender Equality: "Advance Your Career Through Assertiveness Training: Value Yourself and Others"
Date:
The Office for the Promotion of Gender Equality at Kochi University will host a workshop titled “Advancing Your Career Through Assertiveness Training: Valuing Yourself and Others” as part of the FY2014 Grant Program for the Development of Human Resources in Science and Technology, specifically the “Support Program for Female Researchers’ Research Activities (Collaborative Type).”
Assertiveness is the practice of expressing your feelings honestly and appropriately, while valuing both yourself and others. We learn assertiveness as a form of self-expression that values both the individual and the group, in order to foster mutual understanding and find new solutions within diverse interpersonal relationships.
This event is open to anyone—whether on or off campus—including women who lack opportunities for self-expression, managers mentoring subordinates, those preparing to take on managerial roles, and students planning to present at academic conferences or job hunt.
If you would like to participate, please contact the Office for the Promotion of Gender Equality by phone, fax, or email, providing (1) your name and (2) your affiliation. We look forward to your participation.
