Notice Regarding the Presentation Session for the International Teaching Practicum (Pilot Program)

We will hold a presentation session on the International Teaching Practicum (Pilot Program) as follows.

This presentation session features student participants sharing insights from the International Teaching Practicum (Pilot Program), which has been held annually since fiscal year 2008 with funding from the Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research and other sources. The Faculty of Education will discuss their thoughts and reflections on this experience—which can be described as an international version of the teaching practicum—in which Faculty of Education teach students in other countries.

Everyone is welcome to attend. We look forward to seeing many of you there.

■Objectives of This Practical Training■

Teachers, who bear the responsibility of nurturing the future generation of Japan, must not only be proficient in English as an international language but also possess an understanding of international affairs andBased on the belief that Faculty of Education, who bear the responsibility of nurturing the future generation of Japanese citizens, must not only be proficient in English—a global language—but also possess international understanding and cross-cultural understanding, our goal is to enhance the educational capabilities Faculty of Education. We aim to help them understand the close interconnections of international relations, broaden their social horizons, and apply these insights to social education to foster a commitment to world peace. Furthermore, by communicating with people from other countries, we seek to cultivate their humanity and foster a mindset of cross-cultural understanding that respects religious and cultural differences. Ultimately, our objective is to train teachers who are proficient in English—not limited to those specializing in English education—but teachers who can effectively utilize English in their professional roles.
