4th Intensive Course (Home-Based Cancer Care and Palliative Care) Seminar: "Challenges in Home-Based Cancer Care"

Date:

Building on last year’s initiative, Kochi University will once again host an intensive course (Home-Based Cancer Care and Palliative Care) centered on a multidisciplinary workshop using the World Café format. This program is designed for healthcare professionals involved in cancer care within the local community. Its goal is to foster professionals capable of understanding and effectively utilizing home-based care from the perspectives of cancer treatment, palliative care, and elderly care, thereby enabling multidisciplinary collaboration to provide seamless, community-tailored medical care.

This event will be held in the eastern part of the prefecture on the dates listed below. We look forward to welcoming many participants, including physicians, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, care managers, and others involved in community healthcare collaboration. While there is no registration fee, advance registration is required to facilitate venue preparations; please register by Friday, June 19, 2015.

*This year, the seminar will be held at three venues: the Eastern Prefectural venue (this event), the Central Prefectural venue scheduled for August 30 at Kochi Kaikan (Honmachi, Kochi City), and the Western Prefectural venue scheduled for around October in the Hata region. We plan to conduct a comparative analysis of regional differences.Participants who attend this seminar and also attend the “Home-Based Cancer Care Lecture Series” scheduled for November–December will receive a certificate of completion for the Intensive Course from the Chugoku-Shikoku Wide-Area Cancer Professional Training Consortium.
