Kuroshio Region Seminar: "Small-Scale Hydropower Generation in Local Communities and Legal Issues"
Date:
Faculty is pleased to announce that it will host the Kuroshio Region Seminar, titled “Small-Scale Hydropower Generation in Local Communities and Legal Issues,” featuring Faculty Daisuke Miura Faculty Kanagawa Faculty as the guest lecturer.
In recent years, small-scale hydropower—a key component of renewable energy—has been gaining attention. In particular, small-scale hydropower projects carried out at the “local” level hold the potential to play a vital role in regional sustainability. At the same time, however, many unresolved challenges remain. This lecture will focus on legal issues, such as the relationship between the River Act and customary water rights.
If you are interested in renewable energy, river management, or related topics, please feel free to join us.
We look forward to seeing many of you there.
