International Symposium on Multidisciplinary Research on Fermented Tea

Kochi University will host an international symposium on fermented tea.
Producers and researchers from Japan and Thailand specializing in fermented teas—including Japan’s Goishi-cha, Ishizuchi Kurocha, Awa Bancha, and Batabata-cha, as well as Thailand’s Miang—will gather to present on the history of fermented teas, their connections to local communities, and the latest findings in functional research, and to exchange views from an international perspective. A large number of researchers from a research group at Chiang Mai University in Thailand—a partner institution of Kochi University—are scheduled to participate.
Anyone is welcome to join.
