The 7th Intensive Course (Home-Based Cancer Care and Palliative Care) Seminar: "Supporting Home-Based Cancer Care"
Date:
As part of the "Plan to Promote the Development of a Foundation for Training Cancer Professionals" implemented by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), the "Chugoku-Shikoku Advanced Cancer Professional Training Program," in which Kochi University participates, brings together 10 universities located in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions into a single consortium. The program aims to produce cancer specialists and distribute them evenly across this vast region.
At Kochi University, we will continue the intensive course (Home-Based Cancer Care and Palliative Care) from last year, focusing on a multidisciplinary workshop conducted in a World Café format. This program targets medical staff involved in cancer care in the region and aims to foster professionals capable of understanding and utilizing home-based care from the perspectives of cancer treatment, palliative care, and elderly care. The goal is to enable multidisciplinary collaboration and provide seamless, community-tailored medical care.
Participation is free of charge; however, due to venue preparation requirements, advance registration is necessary. Please register by Friday, August 26, 2016.
Please note that if you attend the “Home-Based Cancer Care Lecture” scheduled for January–February in conjunction with this seminar, you will be awarded a certificate of completion for the Intensive Course from the Chugoku-Shikoku Wide-Area Cancer Professional Training Consortium.
