COC+ Project "Town, People, and Jobs Revitalization: Kochi Innovation System" FY2016 Tosa FBC Glocal Program Report Session
Date:
The Center for Regional Collaboration at Kochi University, as an implementing organization for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s “Regional Revitalization Initiative by Universities as Regional Hubs (COC+),” is implementing the “Kochi Innovation System for Revitalizing Communities, People, and Jobs.” As part of its support for companies seeking to expand their overseas sales channels, the Center is collaborating with JETRO Kochi to carry out the “Tosa FBC Glocal Program.”
This program is a training initiative designed for companies employing Tosa FBC graduates and for students, offering hands-on experience in overseas food business operations. Under the guidance of experts with extensive experience in international business—including JETRO Kochi and Tosa FBC faculty—participants undergo pre-training to acquire essential knowledge, such as key considerations for business negotiations and trade show participation.an overseas training session involving participation in an international trade show held abroad (specifically, the “27th HKTDC Food Expo 2016,” Hong Kong’s largest international comprehensive food trade fair, held from August 11 to 13), and a debriefing session following the training. The program aims to provide participants with the know-how to develop overseas sales channels. It is also designated as a course for training Regional Revitalization Promoters (4th preparation phase, quasi-regular course).
This year, Hitoshi Hishida, Managing Director of Hishida Bakery Co., Ltd., and two students from Kochi University participated.
We will hold a debriefing session as detailed below, featuring reports from participants on the results of their training to date, followed by comments from the instructors.
