Exhibition: "Lives That Vanish into the Azure Sky: A Commemorative Exhibition Marking the 70th Anniversary of Hisao Kimura’s Passing" (October 27–November 2)

Library and Information Technology will host an exhibition titled “Lives That Vanish into the Azure Sky: A Commemorative Exhibition Marking the 70th Anniversary of Hisao Kimura’s Passing.”
Hisao Kimura, a graduate of the former Kochi High School, was drafted as a student soldier shortly after entering Kyoto University. After the war, he was executed as a war criminal at the young age of 26, bringing his life to an end. Kimura’s memoir, included at the end of *Listen to the Voice of the Sea*, continues to move many readers to this day.In accordance with the wishes expressed in his memoir, Kimura’s personal library was donated to this museum and is preserved as the “Kimura Collection.”
