Earth Exploration Hub Project: FY2016 Results Presentation
Date:
We will hold a briefing session on the research activities and achievements of the Kochi University Research Hub Project, "Earth Exploration Hub: The Past, Present, and Future of the Environment, Earthquakes, and Rare Metals Recorded in the Ocean and on Land," for the 2016 fiscal year.
This research center builds upon the achievements and operational infrastructure of the previous Kochi University Research Center Project, “Comprehensive Research on the Earth’s Environment, Earth Dynamics, and Subsurface Microorganisms Using Drilling Cores” (Phase 1: FY2004–FY2009),and “Research Center for Variations in Global Environmental Systems through Drilling Core Science” (Phase 2: FY2010–FY2015). It aims to establish a new Earth exploration center that addresses issues expected to meet societal needs and contribute to the local community, while also enabling Kochi University to disseminate its findings to the world.
