Inspiration & Excitement in Science: Welcome to the University Lab! "Understanding the Functions of Genes and Proteins Through Blood: Let's Extract DNA from Our Own Blood!"

　高知大学総合研究センター実験実習機器施設・RI実験施設では、高校生を対象に、ひらめき☆ときめきサイエンス ～ようこそ大学の研究室へ～「血液から見る遺伝子・タンパク質の働き〜自分の血液からDNAを採ってみよう～」を開催します。

　In this hands-on learning activity, students will conduct experiments using their own blood—such as determining blood types and observing peripheral blood cells under a microscope—to learn about the roles of genes and cells.

　We are looking for high school students who are interested in participating! We encourage you to join us.

Number of openings	20 participants (If there are more applicants than available spots, a selection process will be held) (Free of charge)
Target Audience	High school student

Course Content	・DNA extraction from blood ・ABO blood typing (antibody-based and genotypic methods) ・Observation of peripheral blood cells
