National Networking Project: FY2017 COC/COC+ National Symposium "The Future of Japan as Envisioned by Regional Communities" (March 2–3)

With funding from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) through the “Center of Excellence (COC)” and “Regional Revitalization through Centers of Excellence (COC+)” programs, our university is hosting a national symposium with the aim of establishing a nationwide network for the COC/COC+ initiatives.
This year’s symposium will feature a keynote address titled “Thinking About Japan’s Future” by Haruaki Deguchi, President of Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University and founder of Lifenet Insurance Company, as well as a panel discussion on “Ensuring the Long-Term Sustainability of Regional Partnerships” and breakout sessions featuring reports from COC/COC+ implementing organizations. We look forward to welcoming many of you to the event.
