The 13th Cancer Pro International Seminar: "Community Healthcare"
Date:
Recognizing that cancer is the leading cause of death in Japan and poses a serious threat to the lives and health of the public, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) has launched the "Cancer Pro" initiative (short for the Plan to Promote the Infrastructure for Training Cancer Professionals) to support university efforts aimed at training medical professionals specializing in cancer care, including those involved in surgical, radiation, and chemotherapy treatments.
Since the second phase of the Cancer Project began in the 2012 academic year, Medical School has held the "Cancer Project International Seminar" twice a year. At this seminar, students from each university will give presentations and engage in discussions in English regarding community and home-based healthcare in Hawaii and Kochi.
No advance registration is required, so please feel free to join us if you are interested.
