We are hosting a "Seminar on Employment Support" for healthcare professionals

Date:

The "Program for Training Highly Skilled Cancer Specialists in Holistic Medicine" (selected by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology as part of the "Training Plan for Cancer Professionals" initiative to address diverse new needs), in which our university participates, is a consortium formed by 11 universities in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions. Its goal is to ensure the equitable distribution of cancer specialists across this broad region.
In recent years, cancer care for the working-age population and children has garnered significant attention as a critical issue. While various stakeholders—including patients themselves, their families, workplace representatives, healthcare professionals, and government officials—are involved in supporting cancer patients’ employment and education, the current reality is that the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and information among these parties remains insufficient. To promote social understanding of cancer patients’ employment and education and to provide knowledge and information to healthcare professionals, we are hosting a lecture titled “The Lifestyle Support (Employment and Education) Currently Required of Medical Institutions.” We are pleased to welcome Ms. Hatoe Sakamoto, Deputy Director of the Cancer Consultation Support Center at the Supportive Care Center, National Cancer Center Hospital East, as our guest speaker.
