　Notice Regarding the Cancellation of the Kochi University Degree Conferment Ceremony for the 2019 Academic Year

　In light of the government’s announcement of its basic policy and the recent cases of infection within the prefecture, we have held careful deliberations as a university and have decided to cancel the degree conferment ceremony originally scheduled for March 23. We hereby notify you of this decision.

　We sincerely apologize to all participants who have been eagerly awaiting this event. However, we have made this decision in order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, and we kindly ask for your understanding.

　Kochi University will hold the 2019 Academic Year Degree Conferment Ceremony on March 23, 2020, at the Kochi Prefectural Gymnasium, as detailed below.

Date and Time	Monday, March 23, 2020, starting at 10:00 a.m. (Doors open at 9:00 a.m.)
Location	Kochi Prefectural Gymnasium (2-1-53 Sanbashi-dori, Kochi City)
Program	9:00 Doors open 10:00 Ceremony begins 12:00 Ceremony ends
Target	Graduates (Parents are welcome to attend from the second-floor viewing area.)
