◆ We are hosting a seminar titled “Reflecting on the Issue of Karoshi Among Young People” to prevent karoshi and related deaths
Date:
The Office for the Promotion of Gender Equality at Kochi University will hold a seminar titled “Reflecting on the Issue of Karoshi Among Young People” to prevent karoshi and related deaths on Saturday, November 13, 2021.
Thanks to the efforts of bereaved families, lawyers, and researchers working to prevent death from overwork, the Act on Promotion of Measures to Prevent Death from Overwork and Other Related Issues was enacted in November 2014. This law is of great importance in achieving a society where people can maintain a balance between work and life through measures to prevent death from overwork and other related issues, and continue to work in a fulfilling manner while maintaining both physical and mental health.
For this seminar, we are pleased to welcome Mr. Naozumi Kubo, representative of the Shikoku Association of Families Affected by Karoshi, and Ms. Yukimi Takahashi of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare’s Council for the Promotion of Measures to Prevent Karoshi and Related Issues as our speakers. Together with all participants, we will explore how we can achieve a society where karoshi is eliminated and people can continue to work in a healthy and fulfilling manner. The event is open to the general public, so we encourage anyone interested to join us.
