On Saturday, February 19, 2022, "Education and Research Center for Subtropical Field Science" at our university will host "Inspiration & Excitement in Science: Welcome to the University Lab"—a KAKENHI-funded event titled "Exploring 'Life' Through Cattle: Touch, Taste, and Experiment!"
This program is designed for high school students. Through lectures covering the process—including the world’s first successful birth of a calf derived from a fertilized egg created using freeze-dried sperm—and future developments, as well as hands-on training in the barns where Tosa Akaushi cattle are raised at the Warm-Climate Field Science Education and Research Center, we aim to convey the appeal and excitement of research. We encourage anyone interested to participate.
