◆We will be holding the 2021 Kochi CST (Science Teacher Training Program) Symposium

Since fiscal year 2010, Kochi University and the Kochi Prefectural Board of Education have been implementing the “Kochi CST Training Program” with the aim of enhancing Science Education, classroom instruction skills, and instructional leadership. Through this program, they have been training teachers (CSTs, or Core Science Teachers) to play a central role Science Education.
This fiscal year marks the final year of the third phase of the project, which began in fiscal year 2018, and the fourth phase will commence next fiscal year. To mark this milestone, we would like to facilitate a broad exchange of views on the future direction of CST activities and CST training programs—based on perspectives Science Education lesson planning and pedagogical research Science Education —and are therefore hosting the 2021 Kochi CST Symposium: Training Core Science Teachers in Kochi Prefecture (Phase 3).
