◆ We are hosting "Inspiration & Excitement in Science: The Development and Diversity of Sea Squirts—The Amazing Bodies of Our Strange Relatives"

Date:

On Saturday and Sunday, March 19 and 20, and Thursday and Friday, March 24 and 25, 2022, Faculty of Science and Technology will host "Inspiration & Excitement Science: 'The Mechanisms of Sea Squirt Development and Diversity—The Amazing Body Structures of Our Strange Relatives.'"

Faculty of Science and Technology is conducting research to elucidate the mechanisms of human evolution by studying the cells of tunicates—animals closely related to vertebrates. This program, designed for high school students, offers a hands-on experience of the mysteries of life’s origins by allowing participants to observe the process from fertilization of tunicate eggs to the development of tadpole-like larvae, as well as the differentiation of cells within the larvae. We encourage anyone interested to join us.
