At this summer’s “70th Yosakoi Festival”—the first regular edition in four years—Kochi University’s Asakura Campus will be added as a new performance venue, the “Kochi University Performance Stage.” This marks the first time in 13 years that a new venue has been added to the Yosakoi Festival, and it is the first time a university campus has served as a venue for the festival.
To that end, we will host the 4th Kochi University 75th Anniversary Symposium, “The Vibrancy of Bonds! Yosakoi Ranman 2023,” where we will explain “Why is Kochi University opening a performance venue?” and hold a discussion on the potential for bonds fostered by Yosakoi.
