On July 29, 2023, Faculty of Agriculture and Marine Science will host “Inspiration & Excitement in Science: Welcome to the University Lab—KAKENHI Project: ‘Considering the Future of Renewable Energy and Agriculture: Solar Sharing and the Utilization of Next-Generation Agricultural Resources.’”
This program, designed for high school students, combines classroom lectures with hands-on experiments and tours of experimental facilities—including solar-sharing facilities and horticultural greenhouses utilizing underutilized agricultural resources—to help students understand the growing environments of horticultural crops and learn about the relationship between the environment and crops, as well as the use of renewable energy in agricultural production.

Location: Faculty of Agriculture and Marine Science (200 Monobe-Otsu, Nankoku City, Kochi Prefecture)
Participation Fee: Free
Target Audience: High school students (1st–3rd year)
Capacity: 10 participants (Application deadline: Thursday, July 20, 2023; on a first-come, first-served basis)
