 Medical SchoolMedical School Hospital will hold a public lecture titled “Understanding Amyloidosis” as detailed below.

 Amyloidosis is a general term for a group of diseases caused by the deposition of fibrous abnormal proteins called amyloid in various organs throughout the body; representative examples include Alzheimer’s disease and heart failure (cardiac amyloidosis).

 In this public lecture series, leading experts in Japan will provide clear and accessible explanations ranging from an overview of amyloidosis to the symptoms of specific conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease and cardiac amyloidosis, as well as the latest treatments that have advanced rapidly. Let’s all learn more about amyloidosis together.
