Date:

Medical SchoolMedical School Hospital will host a public lecture titled "Cancer in the AYA Population (Ages 15–39)."

People in the AYA generation (ages 15–39) face a variety of life events—such as attending school, entering the workforce, getting married, and having children—and therefore require care tailored to their specific circumstances. Although the number of patients is smaller compared to those diagnosed with cancer at age 40 and older, approximately 20,000 people in the AYA generation are newly diagnosed with cancer in Japan each year.

For this public lecture, we are pleased to welcome Mr. Toru Kishida, Representative Director of the NPO Cancer Note and a cancer survivor (*), to speak with us. What if you, your partner, or a friend were diagnosed with cancer? Let’s think about it together, learn more, and spread the word.

Date and Time: Sunday, October 29, 2023, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Location: Otepia, 4th Floor, Hall

Admission: Free
