◆ We will hold a briefing session on the preliminary findings of the field survey regarding the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake

 The Noto Peninsula Earthquake, which occurred on January 1, 2024, caused strong shaking across a wide area of the Hokuriku region, resulting in soil liquefaction, landslides, tsunamis, building collapses, and fires.

 Center for Disaster Prevention Promotion, in collaboration with the Kochi Prefectural Government’s Crisis Management Department, Civil Engineering Department, and private companies both within and outside the prefecture, formed a disaster investigation team and began conducting on-site surveys of the affected areas on January 26. We will hold a briefing session on the findings of these surveys as detailed below, and we invite you to attend.
