◆The 7th Symposium Commemorating the 75th Anniversary of Kochi University: “‘Sazaki, the Coastal Town’: Challenges for the Future” will be held

The 7th Symposium Commemorating the 75th Anniversary of Kochi University, titled “Sazaki: A Coastal Town—Challenges for the Future: Sustainable Community Development Born from ‘Reverse Sankin-Kotai’ and ‘Fishing Fools’,” will be held in Sazaki City, Kochi Prefecture.

 On the day of the event, we will hold a panel discussion featuring Tomoo Matsuda, Visiting Professor at Kochi University (and Senior Research Fellow at the Mitsubishi Research Institute); Jiki Kurosasa, the real-life inspiration for "Hama-chan," the protagonist of *The Fishing Fool Diary*; Satoshi Arisawa, Deputy Director of the Project Promotion Office at Suzaki City Hall; and Kaori Kito of the Genki Creation Division at Suzaki City Hall.

 Let’s discuss regional revitalization in the coastal town of Susaki through the fusion of ideas such as the “Reverse Sankin-Kotai” and content like “Tsuribaka” and “fishing,” and think together about a sustainable future.
