Medical SchoolMedical School Hospital will host a public lecture titled "A Talk on the HPV (Human Papillomavirus) Vaccine" in a hybrid format, featuring both an in-person event and a live stream on YouTube.
In Japan, more than 10,000 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer each year, and approximately 3,000 of them die from the disease. Since HPV (human papillomavirus) infection is the primary cause of cervical cancer, girls in Japan who are in the equivalent of sixth grade through first year of high school, as well as women born between fiscal years 1997 and 2006, are eligible to receive the HPV vaccine at no cost.
For this event, we are pleased to welcome Assistant Professor Risa Kudo from Niigata University Hospital as our guest speaker for a lecture titled “The Basics of Cervical Cancer Prevention.” Let’s learn together about the HPV vaccine.
